Ten Moons Lipe Resort Review – Best Koh Lipe Hotel

Gorgeous crystal blue water, white sand beaches, tasty food, and friendly locals…it all can be found in Koh Lipe, Thailand. One of the best places to stay on the island is Ten Moons Resort Koh Lipe.

Ten Moons Lipe Resort Review

Ten Moons Lipe Resort is one of the best spots on the whole island. It is located on Sunrise Beach in the southern corner, which, in my opinion, is the best beach in Koh Lipe.

At the end of Sunrise Beach, you will find Ten Moons Lipe Resort and one other hotel; therefore, you don’t get much foot traffic. Most days you will have the beach practically to yourself—perfect place to base yourself while in Koh Lipe.

Hi Hannah:

Your guides have been immensely useful in planning our first trip to Thailand. I've booked Ten Moons for six nights in the second week of December 2018 through your link.

I have a question about snorkelling. I see water taxis everywhere. I know they aren't in front of Ten Moons but how do you snorkel with the chance of them going by?

I see Ten Moons has a few buoys out but how far do they extend? Is there good coral and sea life within this "fenced off " area?

Did you snorkel out to the island in front of Ten Moons? How's the coral there and did you have to keep looking out for water taxis?

Thank you

Adam

The area near Ten Moons is our favorite beach on the island and there are several roped off areas for snorkeling and lots of pieces of coral to explore, I am unsure of the dimensions of the snorkel area - but these areas are some of the largest and best on the island. However, when in Koh Lipe you should still take a snorkeling tour to see some of the best areas. If you do, a site called Jabang was one of the best spots, also try to go on a private tour that goes at different times than the group tours to have the site by yourself.

Will have to get back to Koh Lipe after reading this. I think I went at a period of 'transition' for the island and there was a lot of construction happening. Even a guy we started chatting to on the beach said 'I think we're about three years too late' Where you stayed looks lovely!

I would def only suggest staying on Sunrise Beach, I know I wouldn't love Koh Lipe as much if I stayed on Pattaya Beach. Safe travels
