Top Rated Restaurants in Coron
Despite being a small village, Coron is overflowing with diverse restaurants suitable for every type of palette.
Whether you’re looking for authentic home-cooked Filipino food, comforting barbecue dishes, or gourmet Italian food, you’ll have no problem finding something mouthwatering and delicious in Coron.
1. Altrove
Craving a bit of pizza during your trip to Coron? Then, stop by Altrove for traditional Italian food in a charming tavern-like setting. Although it can be more expensive than other local options in the Philippines, the food is nothing short of outstanding.
The pizzas are hand-tossed and cooked directly in their brick oven. They have classic favorites like Margherita and Con Funghi, but you should try one of their most unique pizzas, like Paanchetta con Tartufo (with truffle) or Hungarian sausage. Not to mention, their fresh pasta dishes and ice-cold gelato also rival what you would find in Italy.
If you’re interested in reserving a table, you might consider coming a bit earlier. The line outside the restaurant can be long, but trust us, it’s totally worth it! Sometimes, we all need a bit of comfort food while traveling – and there’s very little more comforting than a hot, cheesy, pizza!
2. Corto del Mar
You don’t have to be staying at the upscale Corto Del Mar Resort in order to enjoy the delicacies at their on-site restaurant. This Mediterranean-themed restaurant offers an extensive menu with a variety of international dishes.
Start with a Filipino raw fish salad or crab and papaya quesadillas. For your entree, you can choose between delicious tenderloin steak, chicken adobo, or baby back ribs. Fish lovers can also order off their fresh catch menu, which is served with mango salsa and rice. They also serve Western meals like pasta, burgers, and pizza.
If you sit outside, you’ll have the swaying palm trees and a sparkling pool to enhance your dining experience. Tucked away in the courtyard of the hotel, you’ll be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It doesn’t get any more relaxing than this!
3. Karl’s BBQ
You might not have expected to find home-cooked barbecue in the middle of Coron, but Karl’s BBQ manages to be one of the most popular places in the town. The restaurant is clean and modern and serves up hearty chunks of some of your barbecued favorites.
Their baby back ribs are the most popular item on the menu; however, they also have meat and veggie skewers, teriyaki chicken, and a few seafood options for non-meat eaters. The stuffed squid is also mouth-wateringly tender and grilled to perfection.
If you’re sick of waiting in line for a table, you can simply sit on the floor to enjoy your meal. You’ll find that many patrons just post up on the floor while eating and mingling with their fellow travelers.
4. Fika Indulgence Cafe
Don’t let the simple design and interior of this small cafe fool you; Fika Indulgence Cafe is still one of the most delicious places for a hearty meal in Coron! Although they serve coffee and espresso, you’ll be tempted to order one of their main dishes once you see their extensive menu.
From pasta dishes like spaghetti bolognese and chicken alfredo to international entrees like garlic fried rice and fried tempura, you’re guaranteed to find something that makes your mouth water. They are also open for breakfast as they whip up unique dishes like peanut butter pancakes or French toast with Nutella and maple syrup.
If you have a sweet tooth, you can sample their mouthwatering desserts. Their creamy chocolate caramel cake is out of this world. You can even skip the entire savory meal and just go straight for their cake.
5. La Sirenetta
With stunning bayside views, La Sirenetta is the perfect restaurant in Coron for a special occasion. The romantic atmosphere and attentive service are almost as notable as the delicious food itself!
Indulge in seafood dishes like garlic prawns, grilled mahi-mahi, and spicy tuna penne. They also have comforting favorites like chicken cordon bleu, Hawaiian pizza, and spaghetti carbonara. Don’t forget to wash it all down with their specialty drink, the Blue Mermaid. It’s a refreshing fruit slushy margarita that is guaranteed to put you in the tropical mood.
Although the price may be high, it’s worth every penny. Try to get a reservation on the terrace in the early evening for the sunset. Eating fresh seafood with the colorful sunset and shimmering Coron Bay as your backdrop is priceless.
6. KT’s Sinugba sa Balay
While you’re in the Philippines, you won’t want to skip dining at KT’s Sinugba sa Balay. Whipping up authentic Filipino food, this casual restaurant looks more like a tiki hut than a cafe.
However, their dishes will have you coming back time after time to try everything on the menu. Their most popular dishes are pork sisig, sizzling squid, and pan-grilled mahi-mahi. You should also check out their homemade pasta dishes, like seafood mee goreng, chicken tinola, and shrimp singang. For drinks, try one of their many fresh-squeezed juices or fruit slushies.
This no-frill establishment may have plastic chairs and tables, but their food is so amazing that you won’t miss the white napkins and tablecloths. Trust us – order a couple of dishes, and you’ll leave with a big smile and an even bigger belly!
7. Poco Deli Coron
It might be hard to find Poco Deli Coron, but you’ll be happy that you did! This small, charming deli is tucked away on a side street in the middle of the town, so it might take some effort to locate. Hungry eaters might want to opt for the sausage sample, where you can customize your plate from over 17 different meat choices. Add your favorite sides like sauerkraut, garlic rice, or mashed potatoes, and you have yourself one filling meal!
For an even more authentic taste, most of their ingredients are imported directly from the originating country itself. They use US Angus beef, Japanese Wagyu, and Italian spices. Best of all, everything on their menu is free of artificial flavoring and fillers.
8. Pedro’s Gelato
Pedro’s Gelato isn’t your average ice cream parlor. Everything you see is homemade and churned in a variety of classic and unique flavors. According to a lot of their customers, the gelato is even creamier than what you would find in Italy!
The flavors change daily, but we know that you’ll fall in love with whatever you try. Order a scoop of blueberry cheesecake topped with pistachio or maybe a cup of salted caramel, mango, and chocolate nut. Try the calamansi if they have that available. This citrus fruit is native to the Philippines and has one of the most refreshing flavors that you must taste to believe!
Located in the center of Coron, Pedro’s Gelato is a quick stop on your way home from dinner. Their gelato is so good that you can enjoy it any time of the day, for that matter. So give them a shot! You won’t be disappointed with a scoop of gelato from Pedro’s.
9. Le Voyage
Vegan and vegetarian lovers rejoice! Le Voyage will be your go-to spot for healthy food during your trip to Coron. This tropical-themed cafe has tables both indoor and outdoor. On a warm day, we recommend finding a spot on their upper terrace and ordering one of their refreshing smoothies.
They serve sandwiches, thin-crust pizza, and a variety of vegetarian noodles and soups. However, it’s their breakfast dishes that steal the show. The colorful granola and smoothie bowls come packed with fruits and loaded with vitamins and antioxidants. They also whip up homemade mango, banana, and oatmeal pancakes that will have you feeling energized for the whole day.
If you do happen to be traveling with a meat-eater, don’t worry; Le Voyage also serve seafood, beef, and chicken dishes.

At Rosa’s Cantina, you can enjoy some of their famous Mexican dishes, like the crispy chicken tacos, the cowboy burrito, or their sizzling beef, chicken, or shrimp fajitas. If you’re interested in trying something different, they also have a burger quesadilla and chimichurri fish on the menu.

Ideal for a romantic date night out in Coron, Hermanos Tapas and Wine Bar continues to amaze diners with its clean, modern decor and authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The menu is extensive, but thankfully, the dishes are small and shareable, so you can order as many as you’d like.
Some fan favorites include the spicy albondigas meatballs, patatas bravas, and bechamel croquettes. The white wine and cream soaked chicken – or pollo tinto – is also one of the best-selling items on the menu.
No Spanish meal would be complete without a hearty glass of red wine to wash it down with. At Hermanos Tapas and Wine Bar, the wine selection is almost as big as their food menu.
Don’t forget to stop by during happy hour. Every day from 4 pm – 7 pm, you’ll get 25% of all beer and drinks by the glass. We recommend using your savings to buy a few extra tapas platters!
