As many of them are quite chic and sophisticated, it’s better to dress up rather than risk being refused entry – it’s a good idea to check the dress code in advance.

Best overall hotel in Bangkok – The Westin Grande Sukhumvit
1. Red Sky
Red Sky is located on the 55th floor of the Centara Grand Hotel – one of the tallest buildings in Bangkok. Red Sky is a fantastic place to head to if you want to see breathtaking 360-degree panoramas of Bangkok. It is very conveniently located in the heart of the city and is a delightful spot to enjoy a delicious dinner or a lovely glass of wine.

2. King Power Mahanakhon Building Sky bar
Because it is the tallest building in the country, it should come as no surprise that the views from the highest sky bar in Bangkok are simply jaw-dropping. Located on the 78th floor, the King Power Mahanakhon Building also includes an exhilarating skywalk for you to walk on.
While the skywalk is the main attraction, the bar itself is still lovely to have a drink in, with signature cocktails and champagne served throughout the day.

3. Octave Rooftop Lounge and Bar
Covering the 45th – 49th floors of the Marriott Hotel, Octave boasts the best 360-degree views in the city. While the first floor is more suited to diners looking to enjoy a lovely meal in a relaxed, lounge-like environment, the balcony bar and rooftop are where you want to head to for a livelier night out.

4. Park Society and HI-SO Rooftop Bar
Located on the 29th floor of the SO Sofitel Bangkok hotel, this fantastic restaurant and bar combo ranks among the best Bangkok sky bars and is great to place to check out to whether you’re looking for fine dining, lively nightlife or breathtaking views.

5. Lebua Sky Bar
One of the best sky bars in Bangkok – and the world – is Lebua. Lebua is home to different restaurants and bars for you to check out. You’ll find a lot of people here almost every night of the week; it is undoubtedly the most famous Bangkok sky bar.
While the crowds do mean that it is harder to get a seat with a view, the lively atmosphere is infectious and lots of fun. In addition to this, Lebua has some of the best views of any of the Bangkok sky bars.

6. Vertigo
One of the most popular rooftop bars in Bangkok, Vertigo, is located right at the top of the Banyan Tree Hotel – all the way up on the 61st floor. You will have to get here quite early though if you want to grab one of the best seats.
As it is part of a five-star hotel, it’s quite expensive, and there is a sophisticated air about the place, although everyone comes away saying it was definitely worth the price for what it has to offer. The bar is regularly voted amongst the best sky bars in the world, and you won’t disagree when you taste their cocktails!

7. ThreeSixty Rooftop Bar
Located on the 32nd floor of the Hilton, the aptly named ThreeSixty has just that – 360-degree views of Bangkok; they are among the best in the city. There is a unique ambiance about ThreeSixty. It is a jazz lounge, rooftop restaurant, and sky bar all rolled into one. For unparalleled views, make sure to grab a drink and head to the cupola above the jazz lounge.

8. Above Eleven Sky Bar
A trendy rooftop bar in Bangkok, it is well worth booking a table in advance if you want to eat dinner at Above Eleven. Covering the 33rd and 34th floors of the Fraser Suites, the bar serves up delicious food, fantastic cocktails, and gets very lively with live music every night of the week. As such, it is a great place to go for a night out or drinks before you head to a nearby club.

9. Mojjo Lounge Bar
Designed to take you back to old-time Havana, Mojjo Lounge Bar has a very Latin feel to it, so you can get some great mojitos, caipirinhas, and cigars here. There is a lively and laidback vibe about the sky bar, and on Saturdays, live music attracts a large crowd.
Located on the 32nd floor of the Compass SkyView Hotel, it is more than just a bar; its restaurant serves up delicious meals that are delightfully presented.

10. Cielo
Although it is located a bit away from the city center, Cielo has some of the most affordable prices around, and its large terrace means there are lots of ‘front-row’ seats up for grabs. Situated on the 46th floor, Cielo has terrific 360-degree views for you to enjoy.
An elegant and laidback place, Cielo is a fantastic sky bar to visit if you’re on a budget. However, you won’t have to compromise anything when it comes to the food, drinks, and views that Cielo offers.

11. The Roof @38
If you hadn’t guessed, The Roof @38 is located on the 38th floor of the Mode Sathorn Hotel. This hotel is located in just as fashionable and trendy as the sky bar itself. One of the most recent additions to the Bangkok sky bar scene, The Roof is a great place to head if you want to party. The Roof @38 often has DJs playing sets.

12. Zoom Sky Bar
Lying at the top of Anantara Sathorn, Zoom’s 40th-floor location means the sky bar offers up amazing views of Bangkok, and the sunsets here are particularly spectacular. On weekends, you may have to book, as it gets very popular, and at night, the dance floor can get packed, so bring your dancing shoes!

13. Blue Sky
Located in the northern part of the capital on the 24th floor of the Centara Grand Hotel, Blue Sky offers some brilliant world cuisine as well as some heavenly fruity cocktails. While the atmosphere starts relaxed and laidback, at night the DJs plays more upbeat music as the restaurant slowly turns into a cocktail bar.

14. Char
One of the newest Bangkok sky bars to open, Char is located on the 26th floor of Hotel Indigo. As it lies in one of the most popular parts of Bangkok, it is relatively easy to get to, and Char’s cocktails are what people come for.
Their resident mixologists conjure up wonders, and there’s nothing like kicking back and watching the sunset with one of their fabulous drinks in hand.

15. Okura Prestige Bangkok
The five-star Okura Prestige Bangkok hotel’s brilliant restaurant Up & Above opens at 6: 00 a.m., so you can enjoy fantastic views over Bangkok while enjoying your breakfast. The outdoor terrace, however, doesn’t open until 6:00 p.m.
While the focus really is on fine dining, the beautiful views and tasty cocktails only add to what this world-class establishment has to offer.
